AO4612 Complementary N/P-Channel 60V MOSFET

The AO4612 is a complementary N-channel and P-channel enhancement-mode MOSFET device from Alpha & Omega Semiconductor, designed for compact power switching and load-control applications. It integrates one N-channel MOSFET and one P-channel MOSFET in a space-saving SO-8 surface-mount package, making it useful for power management, motor-drive circuits, H-bridge configurations, inverters, battery-powered equipment, and other electronic switching applications.

The N-channel MOSFET provides a 60V drain-to-source voltage rating and up to 4.5A continuous drain current at 25°C, while the P-channel MOSFET is rated at −60V and −3.2A under the same temperature condition. Both MOSFETs support a maximum gate-to-source voltage of ±20V.

One of the important advantages of the AO4612 is its relatively low RDS(on). The N-channel section has a maximum on-resistance of 56mΩ at VGS = 10V and 77mΩ at VGS = 4.5V. The P-channel section has a maximum RDS(on) of 105mΩ at VGS = −10V and 135mΩ at VGS = −4.5V. These characteristics make the device suitable for efficient switching and compact power-control designs.

The AO4612 uses advanced trench MOSFET technology and is specified for applications including H-bridge circuits, inverters, motor drives, consumer electronics, industrial equipment, automotive-related systems, and cloud-computing hardware. Its complementary N/P-channel configuration can simplify circuit designs where both high-side and low-side or opposite-polarity switching devices are required.
